The Bilsdale point-to-point takes place at Rising Sun Farm, Easingwold on Sunday 7th May. A total of 77 entries have been received. The first race is 2pm, with the Hunt Race. The opening Hunt Members race could be the hottest race on the card and as it has been the last few weeks it looks like all the aces are in John Dawson's hand, whether he rides or trains it, he will likely have the winner here. Mickey Miller could be the best of these, rapidly improving and a course winner last time he should take the beating under Jack Jordan, another trained by Dawson is Qoubilai and Lottie Crane, they were a good third here last time behind Mickey Miller, the pair also look worse off at the weights and may have to settle for a minor role whilst John Dawson could pilot On Vacation, he clearly appreciates a shorter trip after winning over 2m 4f last time, a reproduction of that would give him claims. As for the rest Code Blue wouldn't be without a chance despite his quirks.Selection - Mickey Miller
There are 11 entries in the 4,5 and 6yo Open Maiden, Clashganny looked to have the race when crashing out at the second last recently at Witton Castle, if he reappears could take the beating, Artisan Man put up another good run to be second here last time behind Sam's Treasure, another bold bid can be expected but may struggle to get his head in front, whilst Rock N Stones was a good third at Charm Park and if continuing his progress could have a say. The Dapper Prince improved again to be second to Be A Dreamer at the Pendle meeting and is an improver who could take another step forward if running again.Selection - The Dapper Prince
The PPORA Club Members Conditions race has only 7 entries and the southern raider Lough Inch should find this a walk in the park if turning up, a multiple winner in points, he has already secured four victories this year and should make it five here. Locked Inthepocket is a consistent old servant who ran his best race for a long time last time when a close second to Rosie Du Berlais, Seeyouincourt continues to improve and looks to be the pace angle, whilst Impact Zone is another in good heart, he will like fast ground and this easier track and is another who can make the frame.Selection - Lough Inch
The Mixed Open could be between recent course winner Rumble Of Thunder and Trop Fort who also won at the Pendle on Saturday. Rumble Of Thunder was an easy winner of the Ladies Open and looks to appreciate decent ground and a sharp track, whilst recent Pendle winner Trop Fort may be suited on a stiffer track and possibly gives the advantage to the former. Strongpoint will likely force the pace, Rosie Du Berlais could put in another good effort but this heat looks better than the Mens Open she won here last time and Six A Side can get his season back on track if not taking up his engagement at Cheltenham.Selection - Rumble Of Thunder
The Club Members looks to have a bit more strength to it, with most of the entrants been double entered it's hard to know what will take part. Strongpoint and Qoubilai took each other on last time after both forcing the pace, Mickey Miller won a similar race last time and Trop Fort also won at Pendle and escapes any penalties here, whilst Yoohoof takes another step up in class and may struggle, but Wizadora is improving after an impressive win at Witton Castle and it would be no surprise if she improved further.Selection - Wizadora
The Restricted race could cut up a lot with seven of the entrants running over the weekend, however Bentons Lad was second here two weeks ago, he is hugely consistent and this looks a weaker race than he has previously run in, competition could come from Refusal who was fourth last time behind some progressive horses, whilst Sam's Treasure was an easy winner of a weak maiden at Easingwold last time and it's hard to assess that form. Milan Day was a winner last time and Firmount Gent ran twice last weekend with a very creditable third at Witton Castle on Monday.Selection - Bentons Lad
The final race is an Open Maiden, Danny Dancer looks to contest the Hunter Chase at Sedgefield, Fayre Enough lacked pace for round here last time and again may be outpaced, High Hopper has been absent since a low key effort at Askham Bryan but his rules form would give him a great chance, whilst Little Big Town was third here last time and that was his first piece of form.Selection - High Hopper
